Roncourt Castle stands on a lush plateau of forests and meadows, surrounded by remarkable historical and natural sites.
In the park, you can enjoy hammocks and deck chairs during the summer months for a moment of relaxation. Children will love the farmyard and can have fun identifying the many different trees and plants growing throughout the grounds, including the orchard, park trees, monastic garden, and vegetable garden.
The area is ideal for nature walks. We provide IGN hiking maps and will be delighted to recommend some of our favorite routes. The castle is surrounded by footpaths winding through pastures and forests.
The château is located:
- 15 minutes from the spa towns of Vittel, Contrexéville, and Neufchâteau, a charming 16th-century town. Relaxing spa days can be booked at the thermal resorts of Vittel and Contrexéville.
- 30 minutes from the Gallo-Roman site of Grand and the birthplace of Joan of Arc in Domrémy-la-Pucelle. You can also discover numerous Romanesque and medieval monuments, the town of Mirecourt, famous for its violin-making workshops, and the delightful spa town of Plombières-les-Bains, full of charm and character.
We also recommend:
- Emmaüs in Neufchâteau, a true treasure trove for antique hunters and lovers of vintage finds.
- For families, the Fort aux Énigmes at Bourlémont, an adventure-filled puzzle park.
- In summer, the outdoor swimming pool in Contrexéville and the nearby treetop adventure course.
